Ingredients/Components
- can of sliced beets
- Tbsp lemon juice - 2 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- sugar - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
How to make harvard beets:
Drain liquid from beets into sauce pan. Season liquid with the remaining ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, then thicken with: 2 Tbsp. Argo Starch that you have mixed with a little water. Stir into hot liquid and cook until thickened the way you want it. Pour beets into hot liquid and cook. Stir until thickened.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
