  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • sugar
  • eggs - 6 item
  • flour cake - 2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp

How to make half pound cake:

Cream sugar and butter well. Add one egg at a time; beat well after each. Reduce speed of mixer and add flour small amounts at a time, beating well, then add vanilla and salt, beating well. Cook in floured and greased tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
