Guacamole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- lemon or lime juice - 2 3
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- fresh cilantro, chopped - 1 2
- large, ripe avocados - 2 item
- medium tomato, chopped small - 1 item
- to 4 canned green chiles, rinsed, seeded and chopped - 2 item
- minced jalapeno or serrano chiles optional - 1 item
How to make guacamole:
Cut avocados in half; remove pits and scoop out pulp. Mash pulp coarsely with a fork. Blend in lemon juice, garlic, cilantro, green chiles, tomato and jalapeno chiles to taste. Season to taste with salt. Spoon into serving bowl and garnish with cilantro sprigs, if available. Makes about 1 2/3 cups.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Dips, Vegetables.
