Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- butter, melted
- 9-inch unbaked pastry shell - 1 item
- Crumb Topping - 1 item
- grapes 4 c
- Set skins aside
How to make grape pie:
Slip skins from grapes. Set skins aside. Bring pulp to boiling point. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes. Press through sieve to remove seeds. Add skins.Combine sugar, flour and salt. Add lemon juice, butter and grape pulp. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.Crumb Topping:1 1/2 c. flour1/4 c. sugar1/3 c. butter Sift flour with sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over pie. Bake in hot oven at 400° about 40 minutes.
