Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- cream cheese
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts optional - 1 c
- thinly sliced Granny Smith apples 5 medium - 4 c
How to make granny smith apple cake:
Icing:6 oz. cream cheese1/4 c. melted butter2 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. lemon juice Beat eggs with mixer until thick and light. Combine sugar and oil; pour into eggs with mixer on medium speed. Stir together flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Add to egg mixture with vanilla. Beat to mix. Stir in nuts. Spread apples in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour mixture over them. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Let cool. Spread with cream cheese icing.Icing: Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add melted butter. Beat in powdered sugar and lemon juice. Refrigerate cake.
