Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onions - 1/3 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- medium size potatoes - 6 item
- sour cream at room temperature
How to make gourmet potatoes:
Grease casserole with margarine. Cook potatoes with skins on in salt water; cool and peel. Shred coarsely on grater. In saucepan over low heat, combine cheese and 1/4 cup margarine, stirring occasionally until almost melted. Remove from heat; blend in sour cream, onions, salt and pepper. Fold into potatoes and turn into 2-quart greased casserole. Dot with margarine. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
