Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- water - 1 Tbsp
- stick butter or oleo - 1 item
- yellow cake mix - 1 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
How to make gooey butter cake:
Mix together cake mix, 2 eggs, oleo and water. Batter will be stiff. Put in oblong (9 x 13-inch) greased pan. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar (save about 1/2 cup for topping) and the 3 eggs until thoroughly mixed. Pour over cake mixture. Add nuts on top, if desired. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
