- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- margarine - 1 c
- Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
- can milk - 2 c
- minus 1 Tbsp - 1 c
- sour milk 5 Tbsp - 1 c
- Sift together flour, cocoa, soda, baking powder and salt
How to make gobs:
Cream together sugar, Crisco and eggs. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda, baking powder and salt. Alternate liquid and flour. Drop teaspoonfuls on ungreased pan and bake 7 minutes at 450°.Filling:10 Tbsp. flour2 c. can milk2 c. confectioners sugar1 c. margarine1 c. minus 1 Tbsp. Crisco shortening1 tsp. vanilla Cook flour and milk until creamy. Let cool (cold) in refrigerate. Cream confectioner sugar, margarine, shortening and vanilla with hand mixer. Beat together until creamy. Fill gobs by icing in between two chocolate cakes. Wrap each one in Saran Wrap. Refrigerate.Recipe categories: Desserts, < 60 mins, For large groups.
