Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 1 item
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground ginger - 1 tsp
How to make gingersnaps:
Mix brown sugar, shortening, molasses and egg. Stir in baking soda, cinnamon, flour, ginger, cloves and salt. Heat oven to 375°. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.Shape dough into balls (1-inch thick) and roll one side in the sugar. Place balls, sugared side up, on cookie sheet. Mm-Good!
