Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingersnaps:
Cream shortening and sugar; beat in egg. Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients into mixture. Add water. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 8 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
