Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- molasses - 3/4 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- self-rising flour
- hot water - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- melted shortening - 3/4 c
How to make gingerbread:
Add beaten eggs to sugar, molasses and melted shortening. Add flour, sifted with other dry ingredients. Add hot water last. Bake in greased and floured pan at 350°. Serve with Cool Whip if desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
