Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 6 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 Tbsp
  • molasses - 1 c
  • ginger - 1 Tbsp
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • Crisco, melted - 1 c

How to make gingerbread:

Mix molasses, brown sugar, Crisco and eggs. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or up to 1 week. Bake at 325° until bread starts to brown around edges.
