  • milk
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp

  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • powdered sugar - 2 c
  • molasses - 1/2 c
  • ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • ground ginger - 1 tsp
  • ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • Add egg, molasses and water; mix
