Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- confectioners sugar - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- soft shortening - 1/4 c
- coffee - 3 tsp
- Stir in all dry ingredients until well blended
How to make ginger cream cookies:
Mix shortening, sugar, egg, molasses and water together. Stir in all dry ingredients until well blended. Chill dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 2-inches apart, on cookie sheet. Bake just until set, about 6 to 8 minutes in 400° oven. While still warm, frost with Coffee Cream Frosting.Coffee Cream Frosting:1/4 c. margarine3 tsp. coffee1 tsp. milk confectioners sugar Mix coffee, margarine and milk together.
