Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- soda
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- ginger
- flour, sifted - 2 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- dark molasses - 1/4 c
How to make ginger cookies:
Cream butter, shortening, 1 cup sugar, molasses and egg. Beat hard. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Make into small balls about the size of a walnut; roll in sugar.
