Giant peanut butter cookies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- chunky peanut butter - 1 c
- butter flavor shortening - 1 c
- milk or water or 1/2 shortening and 1/2 liquid - 3 4
- peanut butter chips approximately 1/2 bag - 1 c
How to make giant peanut butter cookies:
Cream first 4 ingredients until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients, followed by peanut butter chips. Thin with liquid and/or shortening. Object is to cause cookies to flatten as cooking. You will learn how much as you make them.Bake in 365° oven: medium size (dough a little smaller than golf ball) 10 to 12 minutes or giant size (a full 1/4 cup of dough) 14 to 15 minutes. Do not overbake.
Let cookies rest on baking sheet after removing from oven. They will brown a little more and flatten as they begin to cool.
