• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• butter - 1 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• boiling water - 1/2 c
• egg whites, stiffly beaten - 4 item
• egg yolks, unbeaten - 4 item
• sifted Swans Down cake flour

How to make german sweet chocolate cake:

Melt chocolate in 1/2 cup boiling water; cool. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time. Beat after each. Add vanilla and chocolate; mix until blended. Sift flour, soda and salt and then add dry ingredients alternatel
