Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 item
- to 6 cooked potatoes, sliced thin - 4 item
- onion or minced onion as desired - 1 item
- dill pickles, diced as desired - 1 item
- minced garlic or garlic powder as desired - 1 item
- celery seed as desired - 1 item
- vegetable oil enough to moisten - 1 item
How to make german potato salad:
This is best to make the day before so all the flavors marinate together.Mix potatoes, onion, dill pickles, garlic and celery seed together. Take a 1/2 cup measuring cup and add 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water; mix together. Pour over potato mixture. Then pour enough vegetable oil over all to moisten well and stir together. Refrigerate overnight.
