German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- slices bacon - 6 item
- precooked, diced potatoes - 6 item
How to make german potato salad:
Fry bacon; drain. Saute onion in fat until golden brown. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in water and vinegar. Boil 1 minute. Stir in potatoes and the crumbled bacon.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
