- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1 c
- butter flavoring - 2 tsp
- German chocolate - 1 pkg
How to make german chocolate pound cake:
Cream sugar, shortening, eggs, butter flavoring and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk and melted German chocolate. (Joy bakes hers in Bundt pan.) Grease and flour pan or spray well with Pam. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours. Cool cake some in pan or turn out immediately.
