Garlic toast
Ingredients/Components
- slices French bread, either pre-sliced or a thick loaf sliced 3/4 inch - 12 item
- stick butter at room temperature - 1 item
- extra virgin olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- dried parsley - 2 tsp
- dried oregano - 1/4 tsp
- fat cloves fresh garlic, peeled and minced or pressed - 6 item
How to make garlic toast:
Preheat oven 400°. Mix all ingredients together. Evenly spread bread slices with the mixed ingredients. Place on a cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes in a 400° oven. Turn to broil and lightly brown, watching carefully not to burn. The bread will smell too strong, but it doesn't taste that way at all. Remember, the smell of garlic is only a problem for the ones who do not partake! Serves 4Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Egg Free.
