Garlic bread
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 1/2
- large loaf French bread - 1 item
- to 2 cloves garlic* - 1 item
How to make garlic bread:
Soften butter. Crush garlic; work garlic into softened butter. Cut loaf of bread into 1 1/2-inch slices cutting through to within 1/2-inch from bottom. Spread garlic butter on either side of each slice; press back into shape and spread top and sides with garlic butter. Wrap in foil and bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Open foil and bake 5 minutes more.*Use less garlic if you prefer only a hint.
