  • chocolate - 4 sq
  • milk - 1 c
  • egg yolks, beaten - 4 item
  • sugar - 2 c
  • all-purpose flour, sifted - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • egg whites, beaten - 2 item

How to make fudge cake:

Cook chocolate and milk together until thick and smooth; let completely cool. Then add beaten egg yolks, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Beat well after each addition. Fold into the stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in a loaf pan 1 hour at 350°. Frost if desired.
