  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
  • orange juice - 1/3 c
  • bananas, sliced - 2 item
  • can mandarin oranges, drained - 11 oz
  • can pineapple chunks, drained reserve juice - 20 oz
  • medium apples, cut up - 2 item

How to make fruit salad dessert:

Stir sugar and cornstarch together in saucepan. Blend in 3/4 cup pineapple juice, lemon juice, orange peel and orange juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. While hot, pour over fruit. Refrigerate, uncovered, several hours or overnight. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
