Ingredients/Components
- cold water
- 3 oz - 2 pkg
- boiling water - 2 c
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- small banana, sliced - 1 item
- can sliced pineapple, drained - 1 1/4
How to make fruit salad:
Dissolve 2 packages gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Add cold water and the vinegar. Chill until thickened. Pour 1/2 cup of gelatin into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Arrange 3 pineapple rings on top. Fold in banana slices and spoon 1 cup gelatin into pan. Chill again until set, but not firm. Blend mayonnaise into remaining thickened gelatin until mixture is smooth. Chill until firm, about 4 hours.Variation: Instead of pineapple you can use fruit cocktail (drained) or use less water and use the juice from the fruits.
