Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
  • dash of cinnamon - 1 item
  • can fruit cocktail undrained - 1 oz

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add fruit cocktail and eggs; stir to blend. Pour in pan and sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Bake at 300° for about 1 hour. Cool for 10 minutes. Cut in squares.
