Frozen waldorf salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
- dash of salt - 1 item
- whipping cream, whipped - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- medium chopped red apples - 2 item
How to make frozen waldorf salad:
Drain pineapple; reserve juice. In a saucepan, combine juice with sugar, eggs and salt. Cook, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Cool. Stir in pineapple, celery, apples and pecans. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into 9-inch square pan. Cover and freeze. Let stand at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes.
