Frozen waldorf salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- can crushed pineapple - 1 1/4
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- whipping cream, whipped - 1/2 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- sliced celery - 1/2 c
- coarsely chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- diced, unpeeled apple
How to make frozen waldorf salad:
Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Combine pineapple juice, eggs, sugar, lemon juice and salt; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. Cool. Fold remaining ingredients into cooked mixture. Spoon into an 8-inch pan; freeze. Cut into squares to serve.Recipe categories: Egg, Pineapple, Salads.
