  • sugar - 1 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1/3 c
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • nuts - 1 c
  • whipping cream - 1/2 pt
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • stick margarine or butter - 1 item
  • frozen strawberries, not drained - 10 oz

How to make frozen strawberry dessert:

Mix flour, brown sugar, butter and nuts together until crumbly. Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cool.

In large bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff, gradually adding sugar until all is mixed then add lemon juice and thawed strawberries. Beat at high speed for 20 minutes. Then fold in whipped whipping cream. Put about 3/4 crumb mix in square pan (9 x 14-inch). Put in strawberry mixture. Sprinkle on remaining crumbs for topping. Serves 10.
