Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- melted margarine - 1/2 c
- egg whites - 2 item
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 1 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- heavy cream, whipped - 1 c
How to make frosty strawberry squares:
Sift together first 4 ingredients; spread evenly in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle 2/3 of the crumbs in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Combine egg whites, sugar, berries and lemon juice in a large bowl; with electric beater, beat at high speed to stiff peaks, about 10 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon over crumbs; top with remaining crumbs. Freeze at least 6 hours or overnight.Recipe categories: Desserts, Frozen desserts, Strawberry.
