Ingredients/Components

  • cooked, cold rice use regular brown or white rice or instant - 3 c
  • green onions, sliced - 3 item
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • frozen peas and carrots, thawed - 1 c
  • chopped, cooked chicken, meat or fish optional - 1/3 c
  • Sun-Bird fried rice seasoning mix - 1 pkg

How to make fried rice:

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in skillet. Stir-fry rice and green onions. Add seasoning mix (I bought at Bi-Lo) and 2 teaspoons soy sauce. Stir-fry 1 minute. Push rice to side. Add eggs and scramble. Stir into rice. Add peas and carrots and meat (optional) and heat. Makes 5 servings, about 1 cup each as prepared. Total fat: 0 g, cholesterol 0 mg and 380 mg sodium.
