Fried hominy
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- celery, sliced - 1/2 c
- red pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- bacon, fried - 1/2 lb
- can hominy, cooked - 1 oz
How to make fried hominy:
Fry bacon; set aside. Simmer onions, celery, bell pepper and red pepper until tender. Add hominy. Cook until slightly brown. Add salt, black pepper and crumbled bacon.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Native american.
