- green tomatoes - 1 item
- flour - 1 c
- corn meal - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
How to make fried green tomatoes:
Mix flour, corn meal, salt and pepper together in a shallow bowl. Cut unpeeled green tomatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices. Dip into the flour mixture. Fry in hot grease until brown. Turn and brown on other side.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
