Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- stick margarine - 2/3 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- corn oil
- eggs or 3 egg whites - 2 item
- diced Winesap apples - 3 c
- Add dry ingredients, mixing well
How to make fresh apple cake:
Mix sugar, eggs and oil. Add dry ingredients, mixing well. Add apples and nuts. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Allow cake to cool slightly.Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. milk2/3 stick margarine In a medium saucepan, mix the brown sugar, milk and margarine. Bring to a boil and cook for about 3 minutes.
