Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salad oil
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 3 c
- soda
- salt - 1 tsp
- grated apples - 3 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- Sift flour with soda and salt and stir into the sugar mixture
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- milk - 3 4
How to make fresh apple cake:
Combine the sugar, oil and eggs in a bowl and mix well. Sift flour with soda and salt and stir into the sugar mixture. Add apples and nuts and beat well. Pour into three greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Better if made three days ahead of time.Icing:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1/2 stick margarine1 lb. box powdered sugar3 to 4 Tbsp. milk1 c. chopped nuts Cream the cheese and margarine well; add vanilla.
