- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 3 4
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 2 c
- flour - 3 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- soda
- salad oil
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- grated apples - 3 c
How to make fresh apple cake:
Combine the sugar, oil and eggs in a bowl and mix well. Sift the flour with soda and salt and stir into the sugar mixture. Add the apples and 1 cup nuts and beat well. Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool.Soften the cream cheese in a bowl. Add the margarine and cream well. Add the vanilla. Add powdered sugar alternately with milk and stir in remaining nuts. Spread between layers and cover top and sides of cake.
