French onion soup
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Mozzarella cheese - 1 item
- large onions - 2 item
- garlic to taste - 1 item
- stock or water - 4 c
- dried bread, cubed - 1 item
How to make french onion soup:
Slice onions as thin as possible. Cook gently in melted butter until yellow. Add water or stock and simmer 20 minutes. Season according to taste. Place bread into individual soup crocks.
