French hot chocolate
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1 item
- water - 1/2 c
- 1 oz - 3 sq
- dash of salt - 1 item
- whipping cream - 1/2 c
- Microwave for about 2 minutes on High or until melted
How to make french hot chocolate:
Place water and chocolate in 2 cup glass measure. Microwave for about 2 minutes on High or until melted. Blend in sugar and salt. Microwave for about one minute, on High, or until hot. Cool. Fold in whipped cream. Refrigerate until served. To make one serving, combine 3 tablespoons chocolate mixture and desired amount of milk in individual glass cups or mugs. Microwave for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes on High or until hot. About 1 cup of chocolate mixture makes about 5 (6-ounce) servings. Chocolate mixture can be made ahead and refrigerated up to a week.Variations: Minted Chocolate Drink: Add 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract to milk. Garnish with peppermint stick.Mocha Chocolate Drink: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur to milk.
