  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • butter
  • confectioners sugar - 1 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • unsweetened chocolate, melted - 2 sq
  • whipping cream - 1/2 pt
  • butter, melted - 3 Tbsp
  • egg whites, stiffly beaten - 3 item
  • egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
  • box vanilla wafers - 1/2 item

How to make french chocolate silk pie:

Filling:1/2 lb. butter1 c. confectioners sugar3 egg yolks, beaten2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted2 tsp. vanilla3 egg whites, stiffly beaten1/2 pt. whipping cream For Crust: Combine all ingredients. Press into 8-inch pie plate. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes; cool.

For Filling: Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, melted chocolate and vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites. Fill cooled pie crust and refrigerate overnight. Top with whipped cream just before serving. Serves 8 to 10.
