Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • pkg - 3 oz
  • powdered sugar - 1/2 c
  • can cherry pie filling - 1 item
  • 9-inch baked pie shell
  • heavy cream, whipped - 1/2 pt

How to make french cherry pie:

Cream first three ingredients. Fold into whipped cream. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with prepared cherry pie filling. Chill several hours before serving.

This was in a cookbook given to me for Mother's Day by my eldest son when he was in Miss Cecora's second grade class at Skaneateles Central School in 1963!
