  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • water - 1/4 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • peeled, sliced apples

How to make french apple cobbler:

Filling:5 c. peeled, sliced apples3/4 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/4 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla1/4 c. water1 Tbsp. butter Preheat oven to 375°.

Filling: In bowl combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and water. Pour into 9 x 13-inch oblong baking pan sprayed with Pam. Dot apples with butter.

Batter: In bowl combine all batter ingredients, beating with wooden spoon until smooth. Drop batter in portions over filling; space evenly. Batter will spread while baking. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
