Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk
- egg whites - 2 item
- Crisco - 1/3 c
- Cool Whip large - 1 item
- cherry or berry pie filling - 1 item
- jam same flavor as pie filling - 1 item
How to make buttermilk cake:
Just mix together all ingredients except jam and pie filling. Put in two pans. Put jam between layers after cake has cooled. Put layers together and cover with Cool Whip. Spoon pie filling on top. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
