Ingredients/Components

  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • can cherry pie filling - 1 oz
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • can crushed pineapple in syrup - 1 oz
  • 1 stick butter or margarine, cut into thin slices - 1/2 c

How to make dump cake:

Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Dump undrained pineapple into oblong cake pan or baking dish. Spread evenly. Dump in pie filling and spread into even layer. Dump dry cake mix onto cherry layer; spread evenly. Sprinkle with pecans. Put slices of butter on top. Bake at 350° for 48 to 53 minutes. Can be served with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream.
