  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • nuts - 1 c
  • Karo syrup - 1/2 c

How to make divinity:

In a 3-quart casserole dish, combine sugar, syrup, water and salt. Cook on High for 5 minutes; stir. Cook on High for 8 to 10 minutes, or until a hard ball forms in water. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks; pour over syrup mixture. Add nuts and vanilla; fold in. Spoon onto wax paper; let dry.
