Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 4 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• water - 3/4 c
• chopped nuts optional - 1 c
• light corn syrup - 1 c
• egg whites, stiffly beaten - 3 item

How to make divinity:

Boil sugar, syrup and water on medium heat until it reaches a hard boil stage (255°). Remove from heat and pour into the stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat constantly until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop quickly from spoon onto wax paper.
