Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- water - 1 item
- small cucumbers - 1 item
- garlic - 1 item
- hot peppers - 1 item
- fresh dill - 1 item
How to make dill pickles:
Wash the cucumbers and put in jars. For each 1 quart jar, use 1 head garlic (whole, separated), 2 hot peppers (sliced 2/3 open) and 1/2 bunch fresh dill. Put these ingredients on top of cucumbers.Mix 1 quart tap water with 2 tablespoons salt. Pour into jar to fill. Prepare as much as you need for the number of jars you are preparing. Put jar into sunlight for 2 days. Do not tighten lid on jar while fermenting. After 2 days, taste pickles. If done, tighten lid and refrigerate. Pickles are ready to eat.
