Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cold water - 2 tsp
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- powdered sugar
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- soft margarine - 1 c
- cream or milk - 2 Tbsp
How to make danish puff:
Frosting:2 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. margarine2 Tbsp. cream or milk1 tsp. vanilla Cut 1/2 cup margarine into 1 cup flour. Add cold water. Stir until well blended. Divide dough in half. Pat into 2 oblongs (3 x 12-inch) or an ungreased baking sheet. Place boiling water and remaining 1/2 cup margarine into a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add almond extract. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining 1 cup flour. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each with a fork. Spread mixture over oblongs.Bake at 375° about 45 minutes or until golden brown. Make frosting and frost while still warm. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Cut 6 cherries in half and place down center of cake.
