Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla extract
- flour - 1 c
- water - 2 Tbsp
- confectioners sugar
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- chopped slivered almonds - 1 item
- Confectioners Sugar Glaze - 1 item
How to make danish puff:
Confectioners Sugar Glaze:1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar2 Tbsp. margarine or butter1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract1 to 2 tsp. water Crust: Cut 1/2 cup margarine into 1 cup flour and add 2 tablespoons water until it forms a soft ball. Spread onto pizza pan or 2 oblong strips on a cookie sheet.Puff Pastry: Bring 1 cup water with 1/2 cup margarine to boil. Remove from heat; add almond extract. Return to low heat and slowly add flour, stirring until forms a ball. Remove from heat and add 1 egg at a time, beating to smooth glossy consistency. Spread evenly over crust(s). Bake at 350° for 50 minutes until puff is golden brown. Cool, then glaze and sprinkle with almonds.
