Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- warm water - 1 2
- butter or oleo
- almond flavor - 1 tsp
- Sprinkle with water and work dough into a ball
How to make danish puff:
Next Layer:1/2 c. butter or oleo1 c. water1 tsp. almond flavor1 c. flour3 eggs Crust: Cut butter or margarine into the flour. Sprinkle with water and work dough into a ball. Pat 1 1/2 teaspoons dough in 3-inch circles. Put on a baking sheet.Next Layer: Heat water and butter or margarine to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and quickly stir in 1 teaspoon almond flavor and 1 cup flour. Stir vigorously over low heat for 1 minute. Remove from heat and beat in 3 eggs (one at a time) until smooth and glossy. Spread 1/2 tablespoon on each circle. Bake 45 minutes at 350°. Cool and frost.Frosting for Danish Puffs:1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar2 Tbsp. butter1 to 2 Tbsp. warm water1/2 tsp. vanilla Beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Makes enough for 2 dozen.
