Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 lb
- water - 4 qt
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- yeast cake - 1 item
- lemons juice only - 4 item
- oranges juice only - 2 item
- dandelion blossoms - 2 qt
How to make dandelion wine:
Use stone crock. Put boiling water over flowers and let stand 1 1/2 days. Strain, add sugars and juices. Wait 24 hours, then add yeast cake. When scum rises add egg white. Wait 3 full days, strain.This came from the Ozarks hills and was used when the stills were hidden in the Missouri Ozarks during the Depression days.
